U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry supports prostate cancer awareness with a video address at AdMeTech Foundation’s fourth Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Day (PCAD) at the Massachusetts State House. This event was held on June 28, 2012. Prostate Cancer Awareness Day is organized by AdMeTech Foundation in cooperation with leaders of the Massachusetts State House and Boston City Council, medicine, industry, American Cancer Society’s New England Division, Massachusetts Prostate Cancer Coalition, Prostate Health Education Network, Men of Color Health Awareness (MOCHA), Us TOO International, ZERO – The Project to End Prostate Cancer, and other regional and national organizations.

At that time, Secretary Kerry’s served as US Senator and stated: “As many of your know, (prostate cancer) is a personal cause for me. It took the life of my father… but I was lucky to beat it… Special thanks to AdMeTech Foundation for organizing this event. Through Federal funding, they have been able to design and lead groundbreaking research programs in prostate cancer imaging. This is a great example of federal dollars at work to improve early detection while also reducing unnecessary procedures.”
