Th segmentatio mode use i ACR–  PI-RAD v employ thirty-nin sectors/regions thirty-si fo the prostate, two for the seminal vesicles and one for the external urethral sphincter.

The prostate is divided into right/left on axial sections bya vertical line drawn through the center (indicated by the prostatic urethra), and into anterior/posterior bya horizontal line through the middle of the gland.

Th righ an lef peripheral zone (PZ a prostat base, midgland an ape ar each subdivided into three sections: anterior (a) media posterior (mp), and lateral posterior (lp).

The   right  and  left  transition zone (TZ a prostat base, midgland an ape ar each subdivide int tw sections: anterior (a) and posterior (p).

The   anterior  fibromuscular stroma  (AS)  is  divided   into right/lef a th prostat base, midgland, and apexThe seminal vesicles (SV) ardivided into right/left.

Th secto ma illustrate an idealized “normal prostate”.  In patients antheir correspondinMRimages, many  prostatehave component that are enlarged or atrophied and the PZ may obscure b a enlarge TZ. I suc instances i addition t th writte report, a  sector map which clearly indicates the locatioof the finding will be especially  useful   for localization.
