Faina Shtern, M.D., President, AdMeTech Foundation

Dr. Shtern is a founding member of AdMeTech’s Board of Directors, and she has served as President and CEO since December 1, 1997. The Founding Board presented Dr. Shtern with the challenge of ensuring that AdMeTech Foundation fulfill its mission – to provide unique and critically needed international leadership for expediting the development and implementation of advanced diagnostic tools for improved prevention, early detection and treatment of prostate cancer.

Treasurer: Morgan Nields, MBA

From 1973 to 1983, Morgan Nields was President and CEO of Fischer Imaging Corporation. In 1983, he became President and COO of Diasonics, Inc. Following the rescission of the Diasonics/Fischer merger, he returned as Chairman and CEO of Fischer Imaging, but on December 31, 2003, resigned as Chairman of Fischer Imaging to pursue the development of INTIO, Inc., a venture-backed development company. He recently returned to his leadership position at Fischer Imaging.

Secretary: Ferenc A. Jolesz, MD

Ferenc A. Jolesz, MD is Vice Chairman for Research and Director of the Division of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Image Guided Therapy Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston). Dr. Jolesz has achieved international recognition as one of the great innovators and leaders in radiological research. Indeed, he continues to distinguish himself with ongoing, cutting-edge research in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and image-guided therapy and is largely responsible for pioneering minimally-invasive surgery as the surgical approach of the future.
