Prostate cancer has become an epidemic, and it sometimes seems like no one is talking about it.

One in six men is diagnosed with prostate cancer, compared to the one in eight women diagnosed with breast cancer. Between inaccurate diagnostic tools that lead to false positives, unnecessary biopsies, and other treatment, as well as false negatives that lead to mistaken reassurance and the growth of cancer cells, prostate cancer takes a heavy toll on the mental, emotional, physical, and financial well-being of patients and their loved ones.

AdMeTech’s education programs are designed to promote awareness to help men identify high-risk factors and behavior and take preventive measures. Throughout the year, we collaborate with other awareness and advocacy organizations, such as the American Cancer Society and the Men of Color Health Awareness, to plan programs and events to help men understand prostate cancer risk, testing, treatment, and the legal and health policies that affect them. Our annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Day, held at the Massachusetts State House, focuses on educating legislators in order to improve government support of prostate care.
